

The Oklahoma City Thunder completed a dominant postseason run Tuesday (PH time), defeating the Los Angeles Lakers, 115-110, to secure a Western Conference semifinals sweep and advance to the NBA Western Conference Finals for the second straight season.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 35 points and eight assists, steering a late-game surge that sealed Oklahoma City’s second consecutive 4-0 series victory in the NBA Playoffs presented by Google. The Thunder have now opened the postseason with eight straight wins.
Rookie guard Ajay Mitchell delivered a breakout performance, scoring a playoff career-high 28 points along with four assists and four steals, also a postseason best. Chet Holmgren added 16 points and nine rebounds to anchor the interior.
The Lakers led early, taking a 26-21 advantage after the first quarter and holding a slim 84-80 edge heading into the fourth. Oklahoma City responded with a decisive final period, outscoring Los Angeles 35-26 to close out the game.
With the win, the Thunder became just the 11th team in NBA history to start a playoff run 8-0, joining elite company that includes the 2017 Golden State Warriors (15-0) and the 2001 Los Angeles Lakers (11-0).
Oklahoma City now awaits its opponent in the Western Conference Finals as it looks to extend its unbeaten postseason streak.
