One innermost westbound lane of Commonwealth Avenue near University Avenue will be temporarily closed from Oct. 27 to 29.
The roadwork will facilitate the unloading and lifting of elevator and escalator equipment for the Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT-7), the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said Monday.
The lane closure will be implemented daily from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. toward Quezon Memorial Circle, the DOTr said in a traffic advisory issued with SMC Mass Rail Transit 7 Inc.
Five lanes will remain open to traffic during the scheduled work.
The DOTr urged motorists to cooperate and understand the temporary inconvenience as the government continues efforts to improve public transportation and provide a more reliable commuting experience.
Motorists traveling along Commonwealth Avenue are advised to plan their trips accordingly and remain cautious near the work area.
