The provincial government of Laguna has expanded its free medicine program with the launch of the third phase of “Akay ni Gob Botika”, opening nine new pharmacies across the province.
Led by Governor Sol Aragones, the simultaneous opening on January 22, 2026, brought the total number of operational botikas in Laguna to 24.
The program aims to provide free medicines and basic health support, particularly for senior citizens and residents requiring maintenance medication. The botikas operate every Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Governor Aragones said additional medicines, including Clopidogrel and B-Complex, will be available for senior citizens before the end of February. She also announced that a dialysis center in Pakil town is set to open in April 2026, further strengthening healthcare services in the province.
Local officials and beneficiaries welcomed the program, citing its significant impact on improving access to affordable healthcare for Lagunenses.
