In a historic milestone for Billboard, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ smash hit “Die with a Smile” has claimed the number one spot on the 2025 Year-End Hot 100 Songs Chart.
This marks the first time in the 67-year history of the chart that a duet between a male and female solo artist has reached the top.
The song dominated the weekly Hot 100 earlier this year, holding number one for five consecutive weeks, and was also honored with the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance award at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.
Adding to the year’s chart-topping success, Bruno Mars teamed up with BLACKPINK’s Rosé on the track “APT," which also secured a spot on the Hot 100 Songs Chart, highlighting Mars’ remarkable versatility and appeal across genres.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga herself achieved another milestone, topping Billboard’s 2025 Year-End Top Dance/Electronic Artists Chart, cementing her status as one of the most influential and enduring figures in pop and dance music today.
