Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson clapped back at Senator Alan Peter Cayetano over his statement regarding the former’s Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN), saying he is gathering informants and witnesses to put Cayetano behind bars.

Following Cayetano’s Saturday Facebook Live, Lacson took to social media to defend his integrity.

“My integrity is my first and last line of defense and I will fight to defend it with all my might. Sen Cayetano has crossed the line by attacking it,” Lacson wrote on X.

He added that, as of writing, he has been collecting some number of Cayetano's middlemen willing to provide accounts against him.

“As of this morning, I’m still counting informants and witnesses, directly or through intermediaries, willing to provide information and evidence to put him in his proper place - the Payatas, QC jail,” Lacson said.

On Saturday, Lacson presented his side against Cayetano’s “wild insinuations” on Facebook, correcting the claim that his SALN had doubled since returning to the Senate.

“Hindi nag-doble ang net worth sa SALN ko in 2025 compared to 2022 when I left the Senate. Actually, more than four times ang increase at P244.9M compared to P58.7M in 2022 - the year I left government,” he clarified.

The senator made it clear that he had earned his wealth through real estate deals and other legitimate businesses.

“Whatever money I have, I definitely earned legitimately through some real estate deals and other legitimate businesses with 2 other business partners as a private individual, and I paid P10.5M and P2.8M respectively as reflected in my ITR’s,” he said.

Lacson fired back at Cayetano, claiming he had budget insertions in last year’s national budget. Moreover, Lacson stressed that he had no insertions or kickbacks from government infrastructure projects.

“I don’t know about him, but I have consistently refused lobby monies in relation to my job as a legislator. And yes, re Blue Ribbon hearings, huwag siyang mainip, meron ding ghost sa Taguig,” he revealed.

He further disclosed that of the 70 Taguig projects, worth ₱6.79 billion in the 2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA), only 68 were implemented. The remaining two, amounting to ₱75 million in total, have not been answered for.

“In short, a total of P6.715B ang nagastos. While you do the math, we will keep digging,” Lacson said.

Through a Facebook Live earlier on the same day, Cayetano alleged that Lacson’s and Senator Erwin Tulfo’s net worth shot up twofold.

“Ganoon din kay Lacson, ‘di ba? Ano ‘yung actual? I didn’t really pay that much attention, pero parang dumoble ‘yung kanyang SALN tapos sinabi niya sa negosyo,” Cayetano told his viewers.
