Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson poked fun at Senate President Pro Tempore Vicente “Tito” Sotto III over the condition of his newly turned-over Senate office.
Lacson shared on his X an AI-generated image showing Sotto working in a dimly lit room with only a monobloc chair, a monobloc table and a gas lamp.
“Poor Senate President Pro Tempore Tito Sotto,” Lacson said in the caption.
Lacson said the previous occupant had the office stripped of various fixtures, including floor tiles, walls, cabinets, toilet fixtures and electrical outlets.
“Naka monobloc table and chair at lampara na lang. Mistulang “barebones” ang bago niyang opisina,” the senator said.
“Binaklas kasi lahat ng dating occupant - from the floor tiles, walls and cabinets to the toilet fixtures and wall outlets - inubos,” he added.
The office was previously occupied by Senator Jinggoy Estrada, the former Senate President Pro Tempore who is currently detained over plunder charges.
The office was recently turned over to Sotto, who assumed the position of Senate President Pro Tempore.
