Filipina-American beauty Bea Millan-Windorski was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2026 during the highly anticipated coronation night held on Saturday, May 2, besting more than 50 candidates from across the country.
No stranger to the pageant stage, Millan-Windorski previously claimed the Miss Earth USA 2024 title and went on to win Miss Earth–Water at the Miss Earth 2024, cementing her reputation as a strong and consistent contender in international competitions.
Raised in the United States, Millan-Windorski maintained a deep connection to her Filipino roots, frequently visiting the Philippines during her youth.
Her multicultural upbringing shaped her advocacy, which centers on environmental justice, climate refugees, and the protection of migrant workers. She leads the initiative “Open Doors, Open Hearts,” a group dedicated to supporting displaced communities affected by climate change.
Throughout the competition, Millan-Windorski stood out, earning several preliminary awards and impressing judges with her commanding stage presence.
She dazzled in a striking white swimsuit during the Top 30 round and later exuded elegance in a beaded brown evening gown designed by Filipino designer Anthony Ramirez.
During the crucial Top 7 question-and-answer segment, she delivered a heartfelt response when asked why the Philippines remains worth representing despite growing frustrations among Filipinos.
“The Philippines is a place I've been in love with my whole life… I believe in the limitless potential of the Filipino people. We need to create local opportunities, so families don’t have to be separated just to survive and thrive. If I were given the title of Miss Universe Philippines, I promise to be a public servant for all,” she said.
Her sincerity and conviction ultimately sealed her victory, earning her the crown from outgoing queen Ahtisa Manalo at the culmination of the event.
As the newly crowned Miss Universe Philippines, Millan-Windorski is set to represent the country at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November, where she aims to bring pride to the Philippines on the global stage.
