

Tropical depression "Kristine" intensified into a tropical storm, with strong winds anticipated on Tuesday, according to PAGASA.
According to the weather bureau's 5 AM bulletin, tropical storm "Kristine" is located 390 km east of Virac, Catanduanes. It has maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near its center, with gusts reaching up to 80 km/h, and is moving westward at a speed of 15 km/h.
Tropical Wind Signal No. 1 has been raised in the following areas:

Residents in these areas are advised that minimal to minor impacts from strong winds are possible in regions under Wind Signal No. 1.
Furthermore, the highest wind signal that may be issued during the passage of "Kristine" is Wind Signal No. 4, given the potential for rapid intensification.
A Gale Warning has been issued for the eastern seaboard of Luzon, the southern seaboard of Southern Luzon, and the eastern seaboard of the Visayas.
"Kristine" is expected to move northwestward to west-northwestward until Thursday, October 24, before shifting westward for the remainder of the forecast period.
According to the forecast, the tropical cyclone is expected to make landfall in Isabela tomorrow evening, October 23, and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Friday evening, October 25.
The next tropical cyclone bulletin is scheduled for release at 11:00 AM today.
