Kris Aquino has announced that she has once again tested positive for COVID-19 after being hospitalized a few days ago.
In an Instagram Story, Aquino shared a photo of an antigen test kit showing a positive result. She also revealed that she has been feeling unwell since her recent discharge from the hospital.
“I’ve been sick from the time I got out of the hospital, early Sunday,” she wrote.
She added that her eldest son, Josh, also began experiencing cough symptoms earlier in the week.
“Kuya Josh on Monday started to cough and squeeze last night. I didn’t want him to feel unwelcome and he was wearing his mask so I slept with him,” she said.
Aquino also disclosed that she experienced worsening fatigue following her Methotrexate injectable chemotherapy, followed by fever and prolonged weakness.
She noted that her temperature ranged from 37.8°C to 38.9°C from Thursday until Monday night.
She added that her medication intake is limited, saying she could only take up to 300 mg of paracetamol per day, which led her to combine doses of diphenhydramine and paracetamol in an attempt to manage her symptoms.
Despite her condition, Aquino said she remained in contact with friends who were also affected.
She mentioned checking on fashion designer JC Buendia, who had also tested positive for COVID-19 during a recent hospitalization.
“I checked on my friend and he had mentioned having been tested for (COVID-19) during his recent hospitalization. I said sleeping is a lost luxury because of my never-ending fits of evening coughing,” she said.
The actress-host previously contracted COVID-19 in 2022 while residing in the United States, and has since been undergoing treatment for multiple autoimmune diseases that have significantly affected her health.
