Queen of All Media Kris Aquino is beginning to feel like her old, lighthearted self, she said in a health journey update on Monday. She’s also looking for a walking coach—even eyeing Tai Chi lessons.

“I feel it, do you? I’m slowly getting back the old ‘say-it-like-it-is, ready-to-laugh, even-at-herself” me,” she wrote in a lengthy post on Instagram.

Kris showed interest in Tai Chi lessons despite her illness and sought out a walking coach, as her medications make it difficult to walk.

“Please help me find a patient and knowledgeable #TaiChi teacher willing to do one-on-one classes, who will be understanding that I have many physical limitations?”

“And a walking coach who can start me slowly. Okay, I know—why a coach? Because several of the maintenance medicines I’m on cause dizziness and sometimes loss of balance,”

The actress and talk show host thanked the hospital personnel and doctors who took care of her, like Rheumatology Department Head Dr. Jomby Lichuaco; Dr. Geraldine Zamora, who personally took care of her; Dr. Nic Cruz of Interventional Cardiology; and Dr. Henry Lu of pain management.

She also expressed gratitude for her former boyfriend, Dr. Mike Padlan, who facilitated her confinement.

“I AM FOREVER INDEBTED BECAUSE WITHOUT HIM, I WOULD NO LONGER BE HERE. When I first opened up about ‘my doctor from Makati,’ I remember saying that with him, I felt safe. We didn’t work as a couple BUT we do work as physician and patient because Dr. Mike knows me and how my body works,”

She announced that she will be speaking on the Kris Podcast once she receives her medical clearance.
