Actress Kim Chiu’s older sister, Lakambini Chiu, remains detained at the Kamuning Police Station custodial facility after a Quezon City court reduced her bail from ₱5.8 million to ₱5.6 million on Tuesday, September 22.

According to her lawyer, Atty. Dominic Solis, the court also allowed Lakambini to post a cash bond, which would reduce the amount by half to around ₱2.9 million.

Lakambini is facing 124 counts of qualified theft in connection with alleged financial discrepancies involving House of Little Bunny PH, a business venture shared by the Chiu sisters.

The Quezon City Office of the City Prosecutor earlier found sufficient evidence for the elements of qualified theft and said Lakambini allegedly took and appropriated corporate funds amounting to ₱44,396,331.65.
