Kiko Aquino-Dee stresses constitutional limits amid Trillion Peso March; opposes calls for military intervention

As the Trillion Peso March 2.0 approaches this November 30, Tindig Pilipinas co-convenor Francis Joseph Kiko Aquino-Dee emphasized the movement’s commitment to exercising freedom of expression within the bounds of the 1987 Constitution.

In an interview on DZRH’s Damdaming Bayan on Friday, Aquino-Dee outlined the protest’s objectives, including calls for transparency in government, the immediate filing of forfeiture cases to recover allegedly stolen public funds, and accountability for high-ranking officials implicated in the ongoing flood control corruption controversy.

While the march will provide a platform for public expression of anger over corruption, Aquino-Dee stressed that calls for military involvement or unconstitutional actions would not be tolerated.

He added that marshals will monitor the protest and coordinate with the Philippine National Police (PNP) to ensure compliance with constitutional limits.

The protest is scheduled to begin at 6:00 a.m. at the EDSA People Power Monument, featuring programs that include labor movement activities, a Sunday Mass, and youth volunteer performances.

Dee called on participants to channel their frustration "peacefully," reiterating the march’s focus on truth, accountability, and the return of public funds.

Dee is urging citizens to join the march peacefully and responsibly, highlighting the movement’s dedication to civic engagement while respecting the legal and constitutional framework of the Philippines.
