Filipina beauty queen Katrina Llegado has officially begun her journey to the Miss Supranational 2026 competition after being formally sashed as the Philippines' representative during a ceremonial event in Kraków, Poland.
The sashing ceremony marked the start of Llegado's international campaign, where she was introduced alongside reigning Miss Supranational 2025 Eduarda Braum, who personally presented her with the official Philippine sash. The two first met in Manila during Braum's visit to the Philippines in April.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, July 14, Llegado shared that she had arrived in Kraków, where she immediately began participating in pageant activities, including sponsor photo shoots and meetings with fellow candidates from around the world.
Wearing a pink Filipiniana, Llegado proudly represented the country and delivered a message highlighting the warmth and resilience of the Filipino people.
"The Philippines is more than the beautiful islands you see on the map. We are the people who make you feel at home. We are a nation that finds joy in the simplest ways, rises stronger through every challenge, and welcomes everyone with an open heart. Today, I carry that Filipino spirit with me," she said during the ceremony.
Llegado earned the right to represent the Philippines in Miss Supranational after finishing in the Top 6 of the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 pageant.
She is aiming to bring home the country's second Miss Supranational crown, following Mutya Datul's historic victory in 2013.
The Miss Supranational 2026 coronation night is scheduled to take place in Poland on July 31, where Llegado will compete against candidates from around the world for the coveted Blue Crown.
