The Kanlaon Volcano spewed ash from its summit crater early Tuesday morning, said state volcanologists.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) the ash emissions occurred at 5:32 a.m. and 6:01 a.m.

The volcanic events produced grayish plumes that rose up to 800 meters above the crater before it drifted west.

The Kanlaon Volcano remains under Alert Level 2.
