We’re never recovering from this tribute and cast reunion. Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.

Julia Stiles delivered an emotional performance of Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” for Dancing With the Stars’ (DWTS) Dedication Night, honoring her “10 Things I Hate About You” co-star and late Heath Ledger.

Dancing with her pro partner Ezra Sosa, Stiles was dolled up in her iconic Kat Stratford hairdo and a deep blue dress. After the dance routine, the camera panned to Stiles holding a red rose, walking toward the center, with the iconic poem about Patrick playing in the background. The actress is then joined by her fellow co-stars, namely: Keegan, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Larisa Oleynik, Gabriella Union, and Susan May Pratt.

Ahead of the duo’s performance, they shared in a social media post how careful they were in crafting the routine for the tribute.

“From the very beginning, it was incredibly important to both Julia and I that this tribute be created with the utmost respect, thoughtfulness, and close guidance from those who hold Heath and his memory closest,” they said in a statement.

They continued, stating that they are honoring a beautiful moment in the film, one that’s changed several lives. Most of all, the duo emphasized, paying tribute to Ledger, describing him as “someone whose impact continues to be felt by generations.”

“Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” was sung by Patrick Verona, Ledger’s character, in the 1999 rom-com as he serenaded Stratford during her soccer practice at the high school stadium in hopes of asking her out.

Ledger died in January 2008 at 28 years old after an accidental overdose of prescription medications. The award-winning actor is famously known for portraying the “Joker” in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight.”
