Actor John Feir became the subject of online laughter after mistakenly showing up at the wrong wedding on January 3 at Don Bosco Church in Makati.

The incident came to light when his co-actor and groom-to-be, Mikoy Morales, shared the story on Facebook. In his caption, Mikoy wrote, “NANANAWAGAN PO KAMI: Kung sino man ang kinasal kaninang 4pm ng hapon sa Don Bosco church in Makati– baka po pwedeng makahingi ng kopya ng SDE. Andun po si John Feir, siya lang ang naka-Barong.”

Morales then explained how the mix-up happened. According to him, “Kwento: Sa March pa ang kasal at ang nakalagay sa invitation ay ‘Please RSVP on or before Jan 3,’ Eh ‘Jan 3’ lang yung nabasa.”

Because of this misunderstanding, Feir arrived at the church believing it was the correct event. Morales continued, “Ayun, dumating kanina. Pag dating niya lahat naka-suit, siya lang ang naka-Barong. Pina-gitna pa siya at ginandahan daw ng anggulo yung pagkuha sa kanya ng photo/video. Wala siyang nakilala at iba daw hitsura ng groom.”

Feir later contacted his Pepito Manaloto co-star Chariz Solomon to confirm his suspicion—he had indeed attended the wrong wedding. Adding to the awkwardness, he was reportedly the only guest wearing a Barong alongside the groom, and the rest of the male attendees were dressed in formal suits.

Joining in on the humor, Feir even commented on Morales’ post, saying, “Congrats na rin po sa Kinasal.”

The story quickly went viral, drawing laughter from netizens who found the situation hilarious. Many also joked that the incident mirrored Feir’s character “Patrick” from Pepito Manaloto, claiming the actor was just as amusing in real life.
