The Star of the New Gen, Jillian Ward, firmly denied rumors linking her to businessman and former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson, clarifying that she financed her lavish lifestyle, including her grand debut and luxury vehicles, with her own earnings throughout her 15 years in the industry.

On Tuesday, October 21, the 20-year-old actress finally spoke up in “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” about the various allegations linked to her name over the past four years.

Ward strongly refuted any connection to Singson, dismissing the rumors by saying, “Hindi po talaga totoo. I never met him, never po kaming nag-kausap. I never met him. Hindi ko nga po alam kung kilala niya po ako e. Hindi po talaga kami magkakilala.”

Ward stressed that she has never met or interacted with Singson and questioned how such rumors about them began.

The actress also addressed circulating rumors claiming there is CCTV footage of her visiting hotels to meet “old men” who supposedly gifted her cars or sponsored her debut, “Kung meron silang CCTV footage, I dare them na ilabas po ‘yon, kasi wala po talaga. Sana kung maglalabas sila, hindi AI.”

She also denied allegations of ‘secret baby’, “It’s not true at all, lahat po ng mga sinasabi nila, hindi po totoo… I don’t have a secret baby.”

Ward said she initially stayed silent about the rumors, following advice that there was no need to respond to false claims. However, she pointed out that the rumors kept resurfacing year after year, which eventually pushed her to speak up and set the record straight.

Ward said the allegation was deeply disrespectful to her mother and disheartening for her, as it disregarded her 15 years of hard work and turned it into baseless rumors.

Ward’s Luxury Cars

Ward clarified that she bought her cars using her own money. The rumors, according to her, began when she bought a secondhand Porsche Boxster at age 16 using earnings from a skincare endorsement deal. She said the car cost P1.2 million and clarified that the purchase has evidence that she bought it herself.

“Tapos ang kinakalat po nila is sobrang mahal daw niya tapos may nagbigay daw sa akin, e binili ko po ‘yon with my own money. Lahat ng meron ako binili ko po with my own hard work money,” the actress said. “I can afford it with my own money.”

Ward’s lavish debut celebration

On her 18th birthday, Ward shared that GMA, her home network, and several brand endorsers helped cover the event’s costs. Celebrity cake designer Pinky Fernando sponsored the cakes, while her gown was a gift from renowned fashion designer Mak Tumang.

“So lahat po ‘yon hindi po ako masyadong gumastos, honestly, and nag-share din po talaga ang GMA. And may resibo din po ako na lahat po ng costing for my debut, na aside po sa binigay ng GMA, I paid for it with my own money,” Ward firmly stated.

Moreover, she and her mother plan to take legal action over malicious comments about them.
