The image of Jesus Nazareno was brought to the Quirino Grandstand shortly after midnight, according to the Hijos del Nazareno, marking the start of preparations for the traditional "Pahalik" ahead of Traslacion 2026.

The Manila City Government has also begun a series of operations in anticipation of the upcoming feast of Jesus Nazarene. These include cleaning and declogging activities led by the Department of Engineering and Public Works, particularly along Hidalgo Street corner A. Bautista Street in Quiapo, a key area along the Traslacion route.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso said the efforts aim to ensure the safety of devotees and participants during religious activities related to the feast.

City officials added that additional cleanup and maintenance operations will continue in the coming days to maintain order and cleanliness in Manila, especially on the day of the Traslacion.
