Jayvee Lyn Lorejo has officially been crowned the new Miss Global Philippines during ceremonies held at Seda Vertis North in Quezon City on Saturday afternoon, June 20, replacing outgoing titleholder Valerie Pawid West.
Lorejo’s appointment comes after West formally stepped down from the crown, which she previously earned after representing Ifugao in the 2026 Miss World Philippines pageant.
The ALV Pageant Circle confirmed West’s resignation in a statement released on June 18, citing an internal review of compliance matters related to contractual and organizational obligations.
West later issued her own statement on June 19, expressing gratitude for the opportunity and requesting privacy as she returns to her medical career in the United States.
Reigning Miss Global Nguyen Dinh Nhu Var of Vietnam and TPN Global CEO Piyaporn Sankosik of Thailand were present in Manila for Lorejo’s coronation.
Lorejo previously represented the Davao Region at Miss World Philippines 2026 and held the Miss Tourism International Philippines title, which has since been reassigned to pageant veteran Michelle Arceo during the ALV Pageant Circle Coronation Gala.
She is set to compete in the 2026 Miss Global pageant in Thailand, aiming to secure the Philippines’ second Miss Global crown following Shane Tormes’ victory in 2022.
