Jasmine and Anne Curtis mourn the death of their father

Celebrity sisters Anne and Jasmine Curtis-Smith announced the death of their father, James, in a joint Instagram post on Wednesday, January 7.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected yet peaceful passing of our father, James E. Curtis-Smith,” they captioned their post.
To them, James was a true patriarch in every sense, helping shape their strength, resilience, and wit that will forever echo in their family.
“He was deeply loved, endlessly admired, and will live on in our hearts always. We will miss him dearly,” the statement read.
The Curtis-Smith did not disclose the cause of James’ death.
The family’s friends quickly expressed their condolences and offered prayers.
"Sorry to hear this Anne..Sending all my love. Our prayers and deepest condolences," fellow Showtime host Karylle wrote.
"Sending our love, prayers and deepest condolences, Anne," Ruffa Gutierrez said.
