Janti Miller is set for a new chapter in his collegiate career, this time on Taft Avenue.
The 23-year-old guard has committed to De La Salle University and will suit up for the Green Archers in the UAAP after spending one season with San Beda University in the NCAA.
Miller announced on Wednesday, months after playing a pivotal role in San Beda’s championship run in NCAA Season 101 last December.
The 6-foot-4 Filipino-American formally confirmed his transfer, ending weeks of speculation that intensified after he was seen supporting La Salle during the UAAP men’s basketball finals last year.
Miller also teased his upcoming stint with the Green Archers through an Instagram story, where he shared a photo of himself talking with Jacob Cortez, who is expected to be one of his teammates at La Salle.
In just a single collegiate season, Miller made an immediate impact, helping steer the Red Lions back to the top of the NCAA. Alongside Yukien Andrada, Nigel Gonzales, and Bryan Sojona, he delivered a strong all-around campaign that earned him a place in the league’s Mythical Five.
Miller was named to the prestigious lineup together with De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde’s back-to-back MVP Allen Liwag, Letran standouts Titing Manalili and Kevin Santos, and San Sebastian’s Jhuniel Dela Rama.
Now joining a De La Salle squad coming off a UAAP Season 88 championship after defeating the University of the Philippines, Miller is expected to bolster the Green Archers as they seek to defend their crown and remain among the league’s elite.
