House prosecution counsel Atty. Amando Ligutan questioned the defense team’s presentation of an annotated video involving Vice President Sara Duterte during the fifth day of her impeachment trial on Tuesday.

Ligutan raised concerns over the source and basis of the annotations added to the video, which the defense presented while confronting a witness during the proceedings.

“There is a video that is marked in evidence capturing the events on November 23, 2024, and here we have the defense—,” Ligutan said before being interrupted by defense counsel Atty. Mark Vinluan.

“This is not a time for lecture, Your Honor,” Vinluan responded.

Ligutan then clarified his objection, saying he was not questioning the defense’s right to present the video but the manner in which it was introduced.

“Point of clarification, they are presenting a video with anecdotes. I’m not questioning the propriety of the defense presenting a video without laying the basis where this video came from? Who is the source of those annotations thereto?," Ligutan said

They are confronting the witness with that video by presenting their own annotated, it’s like a props,” he added.

The exchange occurred as the prosecution and defense continued their arguments over evidence presentation and witness examination in the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Duterte.
