The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over parts of the Visayas and Mindanao, Bicol Region, Romblon, and Palawan on Sunday, October 25, according to PAGASA.
In its 4 a.m. weather forecast, PAGASA warned that moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides in affected areas.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA cautioned that severe thunderstorms may also cause flash floods or landslides.
For wind and coastal water conditions, moderate winds from the northeast are expected over extreme Northern Luzon, with moderate to rough seas and wave heights ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 meters.
Central Luzon, the eastern section of Southern Luzon, and the rest of Northern Luzon will experience light to moderate winds from the southeast to northeast, with slight to moderate coastal waters and wave heights of 0.6 to 2.1 meters.
The eastern sections of the Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds from the northeast to northwest, while the rest of the country will experience winds from the southwest to northwest at the same intensity. Coastal waters in these areas are expected to remain slight to moderate.
PAGASA advised residents in areas affected by heavy rains to remain vigilant against possible flooding and landslides, particularly during thunderstorms.
