The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over parts of Mindanao on Monday, October 26, according to PAGASA.
In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said the Zamboanga Peninsula, Misamis Occidental, Basilan, and Tawi-Tawi will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.
The weather bureau warned that moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides in affected areas.
Meanwhile, Batanes and the Babuyan Islands will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeasterly windflow, with no significant impacts expected.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA cautioned that severe thunderstorms may also trigger flash floods or landslides.
For wind and coastal water conditions, moderate winds from the northeast are expected over extreme Northern Luzon, with moderate seas and wave heights ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 meters.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds from the northeast, while coastal waters are expected to remain slight to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 2.1 meters.
PAGASA advised the public to remain vigilant, particularly in areas vulnerable to flooding and landslides during periods of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
