Reina Mercedes, Isabela Vice Mayor Harold Respicio posted an initial drug test result showing a negative finding on the qualitative urine drug test, hours after Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said he wants the former to undergo testing.
“Boss Jonvic, eto na po ang results,” Respicio said in a Facebook post, where he shared the laboratory result from a private hospital in Quezon City.
The laboratory report indicated that Respicio’s urine sample tested negative in the initial qualitative drug screening, while the result of the quantitative drug test is still being awaited.
Respicio underwent the test after Remulla said he wanted the vice mayor tested following his heated conduct while presiding over a regular session of the Sangguniang Bayan.
“Secretary Jonvic, let’s go now. Today, punta tayo sa St. Luke’s. Samahan mo ako... exclusive! Live! Kuhanan ninyo ako ng dugo!” Respicio expressed.
“Tingnan ninyo kung talagang nagda-drugs ako. Willing ako na magbigay ng aking dugo. Makikita ninyo kung nagda-drugs si Atty. Harold Respicio,” he added.
Remulla earlier said, “Gusto ko ipa-drug test muna... Tingin ko talaga adik, eh,” citing Respicio’s behavior during the session. The DILG is also studying a possible show cause order requiring the vice mayor to explain his actions.
