An informal settlement area in Talaba 2 at Bacoor, Cavite, was set ablaze on Tuesday morning.
RH 15 Jecelle Ricafort reported the same day that approximately 60 houses were set on fire, and that around 75 families were affected by the incident.

At the time of reporting, Ricafort mentioned that the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) had just arrived at the scene.
In an update, Ricafort reported that the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) raised it to the second alarm.

The BFP said the fire began with one house and later spread to the nearby houses in the area. Moreover, they suspect the fire may have started due to faulty wiring.
According to the report, this is the second time that a fire has begun in the area.
