Senator-judges on Wednesday sought more time to study the prosecution’s request to subpoena bank and tax records of Vice President Sara Duterte and her husband, lawyer Mans Carpio, prompting the impeachment court to defer deliberations until next week.

Presiding officer Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero said the chamber agreed in a caucus to take up the request on Monday, July 20, during the seventh day of the trial.
