'Ikulong nila ako, patayin nila ako': Singson denies involvement in alleged destabilization plot

Former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson on Friday denied any involvement in an alleged destabilization plot against the administration of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., saying the list circulating online is fabricated and politically motivated.

Speaking live in dzRH's Damdaming Bayan, Singson dismissed the alleged roster of individuals supposedly being monitored by the government.

At nilabas ulit at may mga comment pa,” he said.

This came after columnist Mon Tulfo posted a list of names allegedly involved in plotting to destabilize the current administration. Singson claimed that the list originated from an alleged “attack dog” paid by the government.

Singson appears twice on the alleged list — both as a supposed destabilizer and a financier, allegedly alongside Vice President Sara Duterte and Davao City Rep. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte.

Singson argued that the President himself bears responsibility for the ongoing political turmoil.

It is his command responsibility,” he said.

Singson stressed he barely knows most of the individuals tagged.

“Marami dito ang hindi ko kilala… Gawa-gawa lang ito. Hindi totoo. Ang kilala ko lang dito Mike Defensor. 2022 huli kong nakita… Noong eleksiyon ni BBM kami nagtrabaho tumulong sa kanya," she said.

When asked whether he fears for his safety and whether he could be jailed in connection with the alleged destabilization against the Marcos administration.

Meanwhile, Singson admitted to receiving threats.

“Meron, pero I believe in destiny. ’Yun ang destiny ko," he said.

On the three-day Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) rally: 'Hindi na pwede lokohin ang taumbayan'

Singson insisted there is no reason for Filipinos to be afraid, especially in the INC-led protest from November 16 to 18.

He also asserted that responsibility for these issues ultimately falls on the President, emphasizing that as chief executive and commander-in-chief, it is under his command and responsibility. Singson openly questioned the sincerity of Marcos’ recent pronouncements on anomalies in flood control projects.
