The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) is verifying the current address of former Ako Bicol Party-list Representative Zaldy Co before issuing a second subpoena, after he failed to attend a previous hearing on the alleged flood control anomalies.

“We’re looking at it. We reviewed our records and we just want to make sure that a subpoena should have been sent in accordance with our procedure. So we’re looking at sending another subpoena to him just to be sure that we covered everything. We expect to be sending another subpoena to the former officer,” said ICI Executive Director Atty. Brian Hosaka.

Co was a no-show during the October 14 session of the ICI, where he was summoned alongside former House Speaker Martin Romualdez. Based on the latest information, Co is reportedly in Spain.

Meanwhile, the commission continues to review the 100-page affidavit submitted by Romualdez, who is expected to be questioned again in the next hearing, although no date has been set.

Romualdez was originally scheduled to reappear before the commission on Wednesday, October 22, but requested a postponement due to a medical procedure he is set to undergo.
