The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) is carefully reviewing an “alleged video” involving resigned Congressman Zaldy Co, its executive director said Friday, before deciding on any response or possible action.
Atty. Brian Hosaka, ICI Executive Director, told reporters that the commission is examining both Co’s video statement and the revelations he made during a Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing regarding flood control anomalies.
“The commission is still carefully reviewing and studying what was divulged during the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee as well as in the alleged video of former Cong. Zaldy Co, before weighing in on any action or statement,” Hosaka said.
The brief statement came after media inquiries about Co’s online exposé, claiming that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. allegedly directed the insertion of a P100-billion project into the national budget.
Reporters also asked whether the commission’s investigation would involve the President and how this could affect their inquiry, given that the Independent Commission was established by the President himself.
