The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) on Friday expressend hope that its employees will be absorbed by other government agencies.
In a report by RH Jecelle Ricafort on DZRH's Operation Tulong, the commission is set to cease operations on March 31, ending nearly six months of activity and leaving its staff without jobs.
According to the ICI, its employees have demonstrated professionalism and fulfilled their duties despite operational limitations.
Currently, the commission continues to hold meetings with various agencies, including the Technical Working Group overseeing asset recovery.
The ICI has already submitted nearly all of its documents to the Office of the Ombudsman.
At the same time, the commission urged the public to remain vigilant and steadfast in ensuring that those responsible for the theft of public funds are held accountable.
