Melanie Marquez recently revealed the real reason behind her sudden disappearance in 2022 during an interview.

According to Marquez, she was abducted against her will on her birthday and was later confined to a mental health facility for 10 days. She shared that the incident came as a complete shock and left her deeply traumatized.

She said, “I was kidnapped against my will. I was judged, nobody talked to me, I cannot talk to anyone. My phone got hacked, and it's on my birthday. Birthday ko mismo nung inubduct ako because I filed a case against Randy, yung suntok niya sa akin.”

Marquez further explained how the situation caused her life to suddenly unravel, saying, “So nawala ako, nawala ako. Nilagay ako sa mental hospital thinking sira-ulo ako, when in fact, I’m taking care of my two boys and then I’m having a construction [sa] binili kong lupa, bigla akong nawala.”

She recalled that she was initially invited to celebrate her birthday, never imagining that the occasion would turn into a traumatic experience.

During her stay at the mental health facility, Marquez said she was injected with a certain medication that left her unable to move, leaving her in tears. She described the incident as a painful “betrayal of trust.”

She shared her experience, saying, “Hindi ko pa alam [na] mental hospital yun, inano [hinila] ako tas dinala ako sa fouth floor, tinali nila ako sabi ko ‘bat nyo ko tinatali di naman ako nagwawala; sa mandatory daw.”

Marquez said she only realized the following day that she had been admitted to a mental hospital in Pasig.

She also spoke about the emotional toll the experience took on her, especially her worries about her children and their well-being. She clarified her earlier statements, explaining that they were born out of fear and distress rather than intent.

When asked whether her ex-husband was involved in the incident, Marquez chose not to give a direct answer, but hinted that those responsible were people she trusted deeply.

After her stay at the mental hospital, Marquez was transferred to a rehabilitation facility, where she remained for eight months and struggled with depression. She noted that medical professionals later found no issues with her condition.

She said, “Sila mismo sa rehab ang nagsabi na wala akong problema—negative lahat [ng tests].”

While Marquez admitted to past drug use in her younger years, she emphasized that she had completely stopped once she became a mother.

She ended the interview with a message of hope and healing, saying, “Ang dasal ko is to be healed completely… I want everyone to have peace of mind, to be happy,” and added, “I know I’m being saved to be whole again… I was lost once. Now I am found.”
