

A ridge of High Pressure Area (HPA) continues to affect Northern and Central Luzon on Thursday, April 9, according to PAGASA.
Meanwhile, the state weather bureau is closely monitoring a tropical depression located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). As of 3:00 a.m., the weather disturbance was spotted 2,880 kilometers east of Northeastern Mindanao (8.8°N, 152.5°E), with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h and gusts of up to 70 km/h. It is moving westward slowly.
In its weather forecast, PAGASA said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
Wind and Coastal Water Conditions
Northern and Central Luzon will have light to moderate winds moving east to southeast, with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds moving east to northeast, with slight to moderate coastal waters.
