The House of Representatives has formally recognized P-pop group BINI for their contribution to promoting Filipino culture and Original Pilipino Music (OPM) on the global stage.
The recognition was led by House Speaker Faustino "Bojie" Dy III, alongside House Majority Leader Sandro Marcos and Negros Occidental Representative Javi Benitez, following the passage of a House resolution commending the group’s international achievements.
BINI made history as the first Filipino pop group to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California, marking a major milestone for Filipino talent in one of the world’s largest and most influential music festivals.
The House resolution praised the group’s role in elevating Filipino music and cultural representation worldwide, describing their Coachella performance as a breakthrough moment for OPM.
In a social media post, BINI expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating, “It is truly an honor to be recognized through House Resolution No. 1001. We share this milestone with every Filipino who continues to believe and support OPM and Filipino talent.”
