UPDATE: The House Committee on Justice has formally served Vice President Sara Duterte with a notice to respond to two verified impeachment complaints, after the panel found the submissions “sufficient in form and substance.”
The committee on Wednesday, March 4 declared the third and fourth impeachment complaints filed against Duterte as “sufficient in substance,” following a vote of 54-1-0.
In response, Vice President Duterte said the impeachment complaints are “not a priority” for her office at this time, signaling that her focus remains on other matters of governance.
The move comes amid a series of political developments, with legal and procedural steps now underway to determine whether the complaints will advance further in the House of Representatives.
