

House prosecutors have divided responsibilities among members of the prosecution panel handling the Articles of Impeachment in the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte, with each group assigned to specific charges covering threats and destabilization, bribery, unexplained wealth, and confidential funds.
Lead prosecutor Rep. Gerville Luistro announced the breakdown of assignments on Tuesday, saying the prosecution team is already preparing for the upcoming pre-trial and trial proceedings.
For the “Threats and Destabilization” article, the panel is led by Rep. Lorenz Defensor and includes the following Representatives:
- ML Party-list Rep. Leila de Lima
- San Juan Rep. Ysabel Zamora
- Batangas 2nd District Rep. Gerville Luistro
The “Bribery” charge will be handled by a team led by Rep. Joel Chua, alongside:
- 1-Rider Party-list Rep. Ramon Rodrigo Gutierrez
- Dinagat Islands Rep. Kaka Bag-ao
- Rep. Zamora
For “Unexplained Wealth,” the panel is led by Rep. Terry Ridon, and includes:
- Akbayan Party-list Rep. Chel Diokno
- Rep. Bag-ao
- Rep. Gutierrez
- Rep. Luistro
- Manila 3rd District Rep. Joel Chua
- Rep. de Lima
- Cagayan de Oro Rep. Lordan Suan
- Bukidnon 2nd District Rep. Jonathan Keith Flores
Meanwhile, the “Confidential Funds” allegation will be led by Rep. Gerville Luistro, with the following members:
- Rep. Chua
- Iloilo 3rd District Rep. Lorenz Defensor
- Rep. Gutierrez
- Rep. Suan
- Rep. Flores
- Rep. Diokno
- Rep. Ridon
- Rep. Leila de Lima
House trial spokespersons will be Lanao del Sur 1st District Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong and Kabataan Party-list Rep. Renee Louise Co.
“We are currently preparing already for the forthcoming pre-trial and trial of these Articles of Impeachment,” Luistro said.
“Rest assured that the 11 prosecutors are already in its full swing of preparation. So come the pre-trial and the trial, you will expect that the 11 prosecutors will be there to appear before the impeachment court,” she added.
The House prosecution team is expected to present evidence and arguments before the Senate, which will sit as an impeachment court in the trial proceedings.
