The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported a “generally peaceful” situation across major transport hubs as thousands of travelers flocked to terminals for the Holy Week break.

According to NCRPO Director Anthony Aberin, no crimes or untoward incidents have been recorded in various terminals despite the surge of passengers heading to the provinces, in a report by RH Jecelle Ricafort.

Aberin said that while multiple government agencies are conducting continuous security inspections, authorities have not monitored any security threats.

He also described the readiness of police personnel as “above average,” noting their capability to respond to emergencies during the holiday rush.

“Generally peaceful at alertong-alerto ang ating mga kapulisan at mga barangay tanod natin. Ang kahandaan ng kapulisan natin, above average ‘yung assessment ko. And palagi silang nandyan kasama po ‘yung support cooperatives," he said.

“I’m happy to report na wala pa pong krimen na naitatala ngayon,” he added.

The NCRPO chief made the statement during his inspection at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), one of Metro Manila’s main gateways for provincial travel.
