

Former Bulacan 1st District Engineer Henry Alcantara was rushed to the hospital due to chest discomfort, the Office of the Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Chief Mao Aplasca confirmed Monday.
RH Raymund Dadpaas reported that Alcantara was brought to the Pasay Medical Center and underwent ECG and other confirmatory tests.
Test results showed that the pain was caused by muscle spasm.
Following this, the former Bulacan 1st district engineer was taken back to the Senate. Moreover, the report indicated that Alcantara is being monitored daily by the Senate Medical Team, along with other detainees.
Alcantara is currently detained at the Senate facility after the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee cited him in contempt. Former Bulacan 1st District assistant engineer Brice Hernandez, JP Mendoza, and contractor Pacifico “Curlee” Discaya.
Brokers Lujin Ramos Tenero and Brenda de Sagun are also held at the Senate detention facility.
