Health workers are urging the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to revoke physician Lorraine Badoy’s medical license over alleged continued violations of professional standards.

In a Tina Nolasco's report on DZRH's Breaktime on Tuesday, the Alliance of Health Workers (AHW) lawyer Atty. Tony La Viña said the six-month suspension previously imposed on Badoy was not enough, as she allegedly continues to engage in activities that violate the commission’s rules.

The group also claimed that Badoy’s subsequent posts included statements against various individuals and organizations, as well as media institutions and the PRC.

The health workers said these acts constitute further violations of professional and ethical standards and should warrant the revocation of Badoy’s medical license.

In May, the PRC Board of Medicine found Badoy guilty of violating the Revised Code of Ethics of the Medical Profession over public statements linking health workers, including members of the AHW and community physician Dr. Ma. Natividad “Naty” Castro, to the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF).

The AHW said Badoy’s actions constitute clear violations of PRC rules and a lack of professionalism, prompting the group to call for the permanent revocation of her medical license.

Badoy was suspended by the PRC in May from practicing medicine for six months over her alleged red-tagging of the group and its members.
