

The award-winning Broadway musical "Hamilton" is headed to the Philippine stage in September.
The good news was announced by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the writer, and star of the musical, in a video posted by GMG Productions on Tuesday.
"Kamusta Pilipinas! This is Lin-Manuel Miranda, I'm so excited to announce that "Hamilton" would be making its Asian Premiere in the Philippines," he said.
"We've had so many incredible Filipino company members part of the Hamilton pamilya all over the world and now we get to bring the show to your beautiful country very soon," Miranda added.
"Hamilton" will be showing at The Theatre at Solaire Resort & Casino in Parañaque.
Miranda said ticket details would be announced soon.
"To all the Pinoy Hamilfans, mga kaibigan, we'll se you this September at The Theatre at Solaire," he said.
The musical play is based on the New York Times best-selling biography Alexander Hamilton written by Pulitzer Prize-winning author and historian Ron Chernow.
The musical first premiered at the Public Theater in Lower Manhattan on February 17, 2015.
