The southwest monsoon (Habagat) will continue to affect Extreme Northern Luzon on Thursday, July 16, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Batanes and the Babuyan Islands are expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned that severe thunderstorms may trigger flash floods or landslides in areas vulnerable to these hazards.

Across the country, light to moderate winds blowing from the south to southwest will prevail, while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.

As of this writing, no Low Pressure Areas (LPAs) are being monitored for Tropical Cyclone Formation.
