The Southwest Monsoon, or Habagat, continues to affect the western section of Northern Luzon on Wednesday, June 10, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said the Ilocos Region, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA advised the public to remain vigilant against possible flash floods and landslides during periods of moderate to heavy rains, particularly in areas prone to such hazards.
The weather bureau also said the sun rose at 5:26 a.m. and is expected to set at 6:25 p.m.
As of this writing, PAGASA is not monitoring any Low Pressure Areas (LPAs) for possible tropical cyclone formation.
