The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect the western section of Northern Luzon on Thursday, June 11, bringing cloudy skies and scattered rains over several areas.

According to the weather bureau, Ilocos Norte, Batanes, and the Babuyan Islands will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the prevailing southwest monsoon.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.

For wind and coastal water conditions, Northern Luzon will experience moderate winds blowing from the south to southwest. The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds moving from the southeast to south.

Sunrise was recorded at 5:26 a.m., while sunset is expected at 6:25 p.m.

As of this writing, state meteorologists said no low pressure area is being monitored inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility for potential tropical cyclone formation.
