The Southwest Monsoon, or Habagat, continues to affect Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, and the western section of Southern Luzon, bringing cloudy skies and rainfall to several parts of the country on Wednesday, June 3, according to PAGASA.
Metro Manila, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan are expected to experience occasional rains due to the prevailing southwest monsoon.
Meanwhile, Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of the Ilocos Region, the remaining areas of Central Luzon, CALABARZON, and MIMAROPA will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms also due to Habagat.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA is also monitoring a Low Pressure Area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
As of 2:00 a.m., the weather disturbance was located approximately 496 kilometers northwest of Pag-asa Island in Kalayaan, Palawan.
Despite its proximity, PAGASA said the LPA has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
