Gyms and spas are allowed to operate at a limited capacity in the areas placed under a stricter general community quarantine (GCQ), Malacañang said Monday.

In a press briefing, Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said gyms and fitness centers are allowed to operate up to 75% capacity while spas may operate up to 50% capacity unless local government units order them to suspend operations.

Initially, Roque said the gyms were not allowed to operate during the two-week GCQ in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal.
