A 21-year-old graduating student from the Mindanao State University–General Santos City was found dead with multiple stab wounds inside her home in Purok DBP, Barangay Apopong, General Santos City.

The victim, identified as Miyuki Kim, a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries student, was discovered lifeless with stab wounds across her body and a slit on her neck. A neighbor found her bedroom door open around 8 a.m. and immediately alerted barangay officials and the police.

According to the GenSan PNP, Kim was alone at home when the attackers entered her room the previous night. Her mother said the victim was supposed to follow her to an event but never arrived.

Family, friends, and classmates expressed deep grief over the tragic incident, saying Christmas would now be a painful time for them.
