

A Grade 8 student was injured after being stabbed by another minor outside a school in Las Piñas City, police reported.
Based on a report from Las Piñas City Chief of Police Col. Fermin Armendarez, the victim had just left school with friends to buy a drink when he was suddenly attacked.
The suspect, together with four companions, reportedly threw hollow blocks at the group before the victim was chased and stabbed in the back and other parts of the body.
Barangay personnel stationed near the school immediately alerted authorities, leading to the arrest of four of the suspects. The main suspect, identified as the one who carried out the stabbing, remains at large and is currently being pursued by police.
The victim was rushed to the Las Piñas District Hospital and was given immediate medical treatment.
The suspects, aged 15 to 17, will face charges of frustrated murder and attempted murder before the Las Piñas City Prosecutor’s Office.
