A 16-year-old Grade 11 student was raped by her three Grade 12 schoolmates in Manila, according to a report by Boy Gonzales.
Gonzales' report indicated that the three suspects—two aged 18 and one aged 19—were arrested by the Baseco Police Station through a follow-up operation. They will undergo an inquest proceeding today, April 8.
BASECO’s PLTCOL. Emmanuel Gomez told DZRH News that the victim had a drinking session at the house of one of the three suspects on April 5 at 11 in the evening.
Due to intoxication, the victim fell asleep and woke up to someone kissing her. Her hands were also held, and her mouth was covered.
When the suspects eventually fell asleep, the victim managed to escape and went to her friend.
The victim reported the incident to her parents, who had been looking for her. They then sought assistance from the police.
Based on the medico-legal report, the 16-year-old was confirmed to have been raped.
The three suspects, who are no longer minors, are now in police custody and are facing charges of rape.
Gomez said that the victim had been prohibited by her parents from going outside before the incident, but she escaped.
