Gong Yoo is coming to Manila!
South Korean actor Gong Yoo is set to visit the Philippines for his "The long take" fan meeting tour, his talent agency, Management SOOP, announced on Friday.
Manila is among the cities included in the tour, alongside Jakarta, Yokohama, Bangkok, Macau, and Seoul.
"The journey begins," Management SOOP wrote in the caption of its announcement, which also featured a handwritten message from the actor.
In his letter, Gong Yoo thanked fans for their unwavering support throughout his career and expressed his appreciation for their continued love.
The announcement was made on the actor's 47th birthday, delighting Filipino fans who have long hoped to see the Goblin and Train to Busan star in person.
Gong Yoo recently reunited with his Goblin co-stars Yoo In-na, Kim Go-eun, and Lee Dong-wook for "Goblin 10th Anniversary Trip," a special program commemorating the hit drama's 10th anniversary. The special premiered on tvN on July 4, according to The Korea Times.
The award-winning actor is also known for his roles in the hit dramas Coffee Prince and Squid Game, as well as the blockbuster zombie film Train to Busan.
Further details about the Manila fan meeting, including the event date and venue, are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
