Team Liquid PH (TLPH) stayed on track for a historic “Golden Road” after outlasting Aurora Turkiye, 3-1, in the lower bracket quarterfinals of the M7 World Championship on Friday.
The Cavalry rebounded from a rough Game 1 loss to take control of the series, dominating the next three games and pulling off a dramatic comeback in Game 4 to advance to the lower bracket semifinals.
The win also sent Aurora Turkiye packing from the tournament.
Aurora Turkiye struck first behind a standout performance from jungler Tienzy, who posted a flawless outing on Leomord with six kills and seven assists in the series opener.
Team Liquid, however, quickly adjusted and dictated the pace the rest of the way.
The result keeps alive the possibility of an all-Filipino Grand Finals. Earlier, Aurora Gaming PH booked the first finals berth after edging Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants, 3-2, in a tightly contested series.
